The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is a Speyside single malt bottled at 40% ABV, made as a tribute to George Smith, who in 1824 became the first licensed distiller in the parish of Glenlivet. It is distilled in copper pot stills and matured in a mix of traditional oak and first-fill American oak casks.
Citrus zest, sweet orange and pear lead the nose, with subtle toffee. The palate is creamy, with orchard fruit, caramel and a gentle hint of zesty citrus. The finish is light, clean and delicately sweet, with a soft fruity fade.
