The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It is made from whisky drawn from a variety of traditional aged oak casks.
Master Distiller Alan Winchester marries these with American first-fill oak casks, meaning casks that have never before held whisky, to give the expression a modern twist.
The first-fill casks are used selectively, adding a smooth, creamy sweetness that sits alongside the delicate, complex fruity tones already in the whisky.
