This is a Speyside single malt from The Glenlivet, bottled at 40% ABV in a one-litre bottle. It belongs to the Triple Cask Matured series and was made to show the Master Distiller's approach to cask selection.
The whisky is matured in three types of cask: ex-bourbon, sherry and new American oak. The Glenlivet was founded in 1824.
On the nose there is ripe pear, honey and cinnamon with a light oak undertone. The palate is silky, with toffee, dried fruit and soft spice over vanilla cream and nutty oak. The finish is medium in length, fading gently through fruit, toasted almonds and warm spice.
