The Glenrothes Whisky Maker's Cut (70cl, 48.8%)

A Speyside single malt from Glenrothes, part of the heavily sherried Soleo range that first appeared in autumn 2018. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 48.8% ABV. The whisky has been matured entirely in first-fill sherry casks, and the higher bottling strength gives it a full texture. The house character of floral and nutty notes is still present alongside the sherry. In the glass it is usually described as rich with dried fruits, orange rind, cinnamon, nutmeg, toffee, vanilla custard, dark chocolate, black cherries, dark oak and a touch of leather.
