The Glenturret 12 Years Old is a Highland single malt from The Glenturret Distillery in Crieff, Perthshire. It is matured in oak casks and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The label is marked Established 1775.
The nose is typically described as caramelised citrus, sweet vanilla and cinnamon over a rich base of raisins, dates and figs, with soft woody notes. The palate is full-bodied and almost creamy, recalling fruit cake with cinnamon icing and melted caramel, with European oak bringing ginger and nutmeg. The finish is long and warm, with mature oak, baking spices and a little fruity sweetness.
