The Golden Cask Auchentoshan 14 Years (70cl, 56%)

This is a single cask Auchentoshan, aged 14 years in a bourbon cask and selected by House of MacDuff for its Golden Cask series. It was distilled in October 2007 and bottled in May 2022 from cask CM292, in a run of 297 numbered bottles. It is bottled at 56% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour. The bourbon cask brings vanilla, honey and coconut, set against citrus and floral notes. The nose combines creamy vanilla, lemon peel, honeyed malt and soft oak, with coconut and orchard fruit. On the palate come pear, caramel and roasted almonds with citrus oils and gentle spice. The finish is medium and fresh, with vanilla sweetness and a light, warming oak note.
