The Hearach Harris Single Malt Whisky Batch 9 (70cl, 46%)

The Hearach is a single malt from the Isle of Harris Distillery, founded in 2015 in Tarbert and the first to distil legally on the island. Batch 9 is the first batch made after the initial release, and it follows the same recipe: 85% bourbon cask, 11% Oloroso sherry cask and 4% Fino sherry cask. The youngest whisky in the vatting is 5 years old and the oldest almost 8. The result is a full-bodied island malt with a peat level of 12 to 15 ppm. It is bottled at 46% ABV in natural colour and without chill-filtration.
