The Ileach is an Islay single malt bottled by the Vintage Malt Whisky Co at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from one of the island's eight distilleries and is at least five years old.
The spirit is matured in a mixture of ex-sherry butts and ex-bourbon wood. The bottler, founded by Brian Cook in 1992, describes it as strong yet gentle, warm yet mellow, with a maturity beyond its years.
It is described as robustly peaty, with a breath of the seashore.
