The Ileach is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV.
It is a peated whisky, and its character leans towards young peat, oak and coastal notes rather than anything heavy.
The nose is young peat with grassy, herbal notes, oak and a hint of the shore. On the palate it is smooth and malty, with peat, peppery spice, some tannin and a touch of fruit. The finish carries a faint iodine note, with malt and more of the coast.
