The Legendary Red Silkie is a blended Irish whiskey from the Sliabh Liag distillery in Donegal, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It is named after the Silkies, the mythical sea maidens said to have lived off the Donegal coast.
This is the first release of the Silkie Red. The whiskey was finished in Rioja and Ribera del Duero wine casks from Spain. It is fruity and dry, yet recognisably Irish, with a slight hint of smoke.
