The Legendary Silkie is a blended Irish whiskey from Sliabh Liag Distillers in County Donegal, bottled at 46% and non-chill filtered. It combines double- and triple-distilled malt whiskey with grain whiskey, matured in bourbon, sherry and virgin oak casks.
The nose is fresh, with ripe pear, green apple and honey over soft malt. The palate is smooth and rounded, with orchard fruit, honeyed malt, caramel and warming spice. The finish is gentle and warming, with lingering fruit sweetness and softly drying oak.
