The Lost Distillery Company Stratheden Archivist (70cl, 46%)

Stratheden Archivist is a modern interpretation of the Stratheden Distillery, a Lowlands name from the past. It is a marriage of single malt Scotch whiskies, all aged, with an average age of around a quarter of a century. It is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, presented in a gift tin. The whisky is pure gold in the glass. The nose offers dried fruit, pastry, vanilla, leather and a hint of tobacco. Sweet pepper leads to salty maritime notes on the palate, and the finish is tangy, with lingering heat.
