The Macallan Double Cask 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky in a 750ml bottle. It is matured for at least twelve years in American and European oak casks seasoned with sherry in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Maturation takes place in Scotland, and the whisky keeps its natural colour.
The nose offers fudge, candied orange, lemon and vanilla with gentle spice. On the palate come chocolate-covered raisin and creamy toffee, balanced by orange peel, followed by a medium finish of sweet oak.
