The Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak 110 Proof is a single malt matured for 12 years exclusively in sherry seasoned oak casks on the Easter Elchies estate. It is bottled at 55% ABV, or 110 Proof, in a 75cl bottle, a stronger take on The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old.
It is deep amber in colour, with a rich, viscous mouthfeel.
The nose brings sticky dates and gentle cinnamon spice. On the palate, layers of rich oak sit alongside a subtle warmth of stem ginger. The finish is long and warming, with rich oak, dark dried fruit and lingering spice.
