This is a 12 year old Speyside single malt from The Macallan, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It was matured in oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain, using European and American oak. The colour is a rich gold.
The nose is sherried, with dried fruit, orange zest, vanilla and polished oak spice. The palate is smooth and full-bodied, with raisin, dark chocolate, toffee and gentle clove over soft sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with oak, spice and dried fruit.
