The Macallan 15 Years Old Double Cask (70cl, 43%)

The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43%. It combines whisky from sherry-seasoned American oak and sherry-seasoned European oak casks. The European oak comes from northern Spain and the French Pyrenees, the American oak from Ohio, Missouri and Kentucky. Both are made into casks in Spain and seasoned with sherry before being filled with new-make spirit at The Macallan Estate. The American oak adds delicate vanilla, while the European oak brings subtle spice.
