The Macallan Double Cask 18 Years Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, from the 2022 release. It was matured for 18 years in both American and European sherry seasoned oak casks.
The American oak contributes delicate vanilla, while the European oak adds a subtle spice. Together they give a whisky with a sweeter, warmer taste and character, and the whole is described as perfectly balanced.
