The Macallan Double Cask 18 Years Old is a single malt matured for 18 years in sherry-seasoned oak casks, both American and European, and sold in a 75cl bottle.
The casks are seasoned with dry Oloroso sherry. American oak brings delicate flavours of vanilla, citrus and butterscotch, while European oak adds the subtle spice of The Macallan. The two oak-matured whiskies are brought together after maturation, giving a sweeter, warmer character.
