The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak is a single malt Scotch from the Sherry Oak range, here in its 2017 release. It was matured for at least 18 years in sherry oak casks from Jerez, Spain.
The nose offers dried fruit, dark raisins, ginger, toasted nuts and caramel, with a light touch of orange peel and chocolate. On the palate it is full and rich, with ripe oak, ginger and cinnamon alongside toffee, honey and vanilla. The finish is medium to long, with toasted wood, sweet dried fruit, drying tannins and a faint smoky wood note.
