The Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak is the 2020 edition of this Speyside single malt, matured for at least 18 years entirely in hand-picked Oloroso sherry oak casks from Jerez in Spain. It has a natural mahogany colour and is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has dried fruit and ginger with light vanilla, cinnamon and citrus. The palate is smooth and full, with mature oak, clove, orange peel and rich raisin. The finish is long and warm, with dried fruit, young ginger and wood smoke.
