The Macallan 18 Years Old 1994 Vintage Sherry Oak is a single malt distilled in 1994 and bottled around 2012 at 43%. It was matured in hand-picked Oloroso sherry oak casks from Jerez in Spain.
The nose is rich and layered, with classic sherry, figs, glacé cherries, strawberry jam, dark caramel and gentle old oak. The palate is velvety and full, with sherry sweetness, ginger and cinnamon, raisins, prunes and chocolate. The finish is medium to long, with oak tannins leaving a slightly dry edge that blends with the sweetness of sherried fruit.
