The Macallan 25 Years Sherry Oak is a Speyside single malt, bottled in 2022 at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It matured for 25 years in sherry casks made from European oak, which gives it a sherried character.
Macallan was founded in 1824, on the banks of the Spey near Craigellachie.
The nose combines citrus, cinnamon, sherry and wood smoke. The palate is full and rich, with dried fruit and wood smoke. The finish is long, with dried fruit, wood smoke and a warm spiciness.
