The Macallan 30 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 43% ABV, matured in handmade Spanish oak casks seasoned with sherry in Jerez, Spain.
The result is a rich, dark whisky of rich mahogany colour, often likened to an orange grove.
The nose has rich sherry with orange, clove, nutmeg and wood smoke. The palate is smooth, with dried fruits, sherry, orange and wood smoke, and the finish is long with dried fruits, wood smoke and spice.
