The Macallan A Night on Earth in Scotland is a single malt in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV, created around Hogmanay, the Scottish New Year celebration held on 31 December. It is made from a selection of sherry casks of American and European oak together with ex-bourbon casks, and takes inspiration from the rich Scottish treat traditionally given and eaten at Hogmanay, with festive notes of dried orange and spice.
The nose offers vanilla, rich butter, baked apple, baking biscuits, plum and almond. The palate is soft and velvety, recalling shortbread, with vanilla, lightly toasted marshmallow, dried orange, fig and cinnamon. The finish is medium, with sweet butterscotch and freshly baked biscuits.
