The Macallan A Night on Earth: The First Light is the fourth edition in the series, bottled in 2025 at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Its packaging, inspired by New Zealand, was designed by artist Bonnie Brown and combines beach fires, fireworks and first morning light.
The whisky matured in sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks, along with a small share of former bourbon casks.
The nose brings caramel, toasted icing sugar, pavlova and coconut, with a trace of manuka honey. On the palate are rich caramel, mild baking spices, vanilla ice cream, stone fruit and pavlova. The finish is sweet and fruity, with gentle spice and toasted oak.
