The Macallan Classic Cut 2020 Edition is a cask strength single malt, bottled at 55% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Classic Cut series, which aims to offer a different flavour experience each year.
2020 was the first year in the series that Macallan's Whisky Mastery Team had the freedom to explore the distillery's different cask types. Whisky maker Polly Logan selected a combination of sherry seasoned European oak casks and ex-bourbon casks. The sherry casks add depth and complexity, while the bourbon casks bring a sweet lightness.
