The Macallan Classic Cut 2021 Release is a single malt matured in a combination of oak casks, put together by the Whisky Mastery Team to show the part ex-bourbon American oak casks play in the range.
It joins the sweet lightness of those casks with the depth of sherry seasoned American oak. The colour is golden oak and 100% natural.
The nose offers orange zest and oil, fresh vanilla and ginger, with fruit jellies and marzipan. Fresh oak, gingerbread, vanilla custard and cinnamon follow on the palate, and the finish is medium sweet with spiced fruit.
