This is the 2025 Edition of The Macallan Classic Cut, a Speyside single malt bottled at 50.6%, the strength the whisky maker prefers for it.
It was matured in sherry-seasoned European and American oak together with ex-Bourbon casks. Notes of grapefruit, panna cotta and apple are described, and adding water brings out a wider range of changing flavours that give the whisky extra depth.
