The Macallan Distil Your World New York Edition is a single malt bottled at 49.5%. It is a limited release of 1000 bottles, made by Whisky Maker Polly Logan together with the Roca brothers, owners of El Cellar de Can Roca.
Six casks of American and European oak were combined for the whisky, which is meant to reflect the artistic character and ingredients of New York City.
The nose is big apple with peanut brittle and milk chocolate, a sweet and salty mix of rising dough, rain and cherry blossom. On the palate come baked apple, raisin, chocolate-covered nuts, maple syrup and toasted waffles with salted pecans. The finish is medium, with roasted nuts and sweet oak.
