Macallan Double Cask is a 12 year old expression matured in a combination of American and European sherry oak. The whisky spends a minimum of 12 years in these casks and is bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
On the nose there is dried fruit and aromatic butterscotch. The palate is creamy and honeyed, with thick-cut marmalade, cinnamon and warm pastries, and the finish is fruity with vanilla and sultana.
