The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old is a single malt matured in two types of oak, both seasoned with dry Oloroso sherry. The casks are hand-crafted and specially selected.
American oak contributes delicate vanilla, citrus and butterscotch flavours, while European oak adds the subtle spice associated with The Macallan. After 15 years of maturation the two whiskies are brought together, giving a single malt with a sweeter, warmer taste and character.
