The Macallan Double Cask 30 Years Old is a single malt matured for thirty years in sherry-seasoned casks of both American and European oak, in a 75cl bottle. The Double Cask range is built around that wood: the European oak comes from northern Spain and the French Pyrenees, the American oak from forests in Ohio, Missouri and Kentucky.
Macallan regards oak as the greatest single influence on the quality, colour and distinctive aromas and flavours of its single malts.
