This is a 15 year old single malt Scotch whisky from The Macallan, part of the distillery's Fine Oak series, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is triple matured. It spends time in sherry-seasoned European oak casks and sherry-seasoned American oak casks, and also in American oak barrels that previously held bourbon. That mix of three cask types is what defines the Fine Oak approach.
It is described as complex and smooth in profile.
