The Macallan Harmony Collection Jing Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea is a limited Speyside single malt made in collaboration with JING Tea. It takes its inspiration from a single garden oolong grown on Phoenix Mountain in Guangdong, and is bottled at 43.9% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured mainly in sherry seasoned American oak, with European oak and a smaller influence from ex-bourbon casks.
Peach, nectarine and orchid lead the nose, with dried tropical fruit, soft citrus and gentle toffee. The palate is silky, with honeyed malt, peach and apricot compote and a touch of leafy astringency. Honey, apricot and a delicate floral note linger in the finish.
