The Macallan Harmony Collection Rich Cacao is the first limited edition in a new annual release series, bottled at 44% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a collaboration with pastry chef Jordi Roca of the three Michelin star restaurant El Celler de Can Roca.
Whisky Maker Polly Logan travelled to Girona in Spain to explore chocolate making and its flavour profiles at Casa Cacao, Roca's chocolate boutique and hotel. She also spent time with Casa Cacao's master chocolatier, Damien Allsop.
The recyclable gift box is made from discarded cacao pod husks, a by-product of chocolate making.
