The Macallan Litha is an 18 year old single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle. It is matured entirely in first-fill sherry casks from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, made to The Macallan's own specifications.
The Macallan was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid and sits in Speyside. The distillery oversees its oak from the choice of trees in northern Spain to seasoning the casks for 18 months before they travel to Scotland. Litha brings those Spanish and Scottish influences together.
