The Macallan Litha is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It takes its name from the summer solstice, and its golden colour is natural, with no caramel or added colouring.
The whisky was matured entirely in first fill sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, and was made at The Macallan Estate in Easter Elchies, Craigellachie.
The nose has fresh orchard fruits, golden honey and sherry-soaked oak. The palate brings dried fruits, citrus zest, warming spice and creamy malt, and the finish is long and sweet, with oak and fruity warmth.
