The Macallan Rare Cask 2022 Release is a single malt made from hand-selected oak casks, chosen for an intense sweet raisin note and a rich, smooth complexity. The colour is ruby red.
On the nose, vanilla and raisin lead, followed by apple, lemon and orange, balanced by root ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. The palate stays spicy, with polished, rich oak, vanilla, chocolate and a light citrus zest. The finish is warming and woody.
