The Macallan Rare Cask 2023 is a single malt whisky in a 750ml bottle, made from sherry-seasoned oak casks chosen by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team for their distinctive, complex flavour. The casks were curated for maturation by The Macallan Master of Wood.
Tasting notes describe soft vanilla and rich raisin on the nose, followed by fresh apple, lemon and orange. Sweet raisin dominates the palate before giving way to vanilla and dark chocolate, with light citrus zest. The finish is long, rich and velvety.
