The Macallan – Rare Cask 2024 Release (75cl, 43%)

The Macallan Rare Cask 2024 Release is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky at 43% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It is drawn from sherry-seasoned oak casks that the Whisky Mastery Team selected for their intense sweet raisin character. The release was created in collaboration with Charlie Burchill of Simple Minds, who worked with the Macallan team on the parallels between sound, aroma, flavour and colour, all linked by wood. It is ruby mahogany in colour. Vanilla and rich raisin lead the nose, followed by fresh apple, lemon and orange. The palate begins with intense sweet raisin, then vanilla, dark chocolate and light citrus zest, and the finish is long, rich and velvety.
