The Macallan Rare Cask Batch No. 1 is a Speyside single malt from 2018, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whiskies in it come from selected casks, fewer than 1% of those maturing at the Macallan distillery.
The nose is soft vanilla with rich raisins, alongside fresh apple, lemon and orange. The palate opens with intense sweet raisins, then vanilla and dark chocolate, with gentle citrus notes. The finish is long, rich and smooth.
