The Macallan – Rare Cask Pre 2018 Release (70cl)

The Macallan Rare Cask is a single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, in a 70cl bottle. It was launched in the US in late 2014 and reached the UK in mid 2015. The whisky is drawn from 16 different sherry cask styles, chosen by Macallan's Master Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno. A high proportion of the casks are first fill. It is described as rich and spicy, with honeyed raisin, root ginger and chocolate notes.
