The Macallan Rare Cask is a single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 43% ABV. It is mahogany in colour.
It is drawn from 16 different types of cask, the widest range the Master Whisky Maker has worked with.
The nose is rich yet soft, with vanilla, raisin, chocolate, apple, lemon and orange, alongside ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, and mature oak behind. On the palate, the spices lead, with raisin and oak, and vanilla and chocolate in the background. The finish is warming, with light citrus zest.
