The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt at 40% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks made from European oak. The casks are seasoned for up to two years before any spirit goes into them.
The nose brings dried fruits, sherry-soaked raisins, warm spice and a hint of orange oil. On the palate it is silky and full-bodied, with toffee, dark chocolate, cinnamon and baked apple. The finish is long, with smooth oak, spice and lingering sweetness.
