The Macallan Sherry Oak 25 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43% ABV. This is the 2023 release, made from whisky distilled at The Macallan's former distillery.
It was matured exclusively in hand-picked sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks sourced from Jerez, Spain.
The nose offers dried fruits, orange peel, dark toffee, chocolate and sweet oak spice. The palate brings dates, raisins, figs, dark chocolate, honey and warming spice. The finish is very long, with dried fruits, oak spice, citrus zest and gentle sweetness.
