This is the second edition of The Nine Springs 9 Years Old Cask Strength, a single malt from the No 9 Spirituosen Manufaktur in Worbis, Thuringia. It was distilled in October 2014 and matured in original Pineau des Charentes casks for its whole life, in the distillery's brewhouse. It is bottled at 58.2% in a 50cl bottle.
The nose is floral and fragrant, with summer meadow, honeydew melon, sorrel, green pear skin and allspice. The palate is full and intense, with gingerbread and fresh plums. The finish is long and ends dry.
