The Quiet Man 8 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

The Quiet Man 8 Year Old is a single malt Irish whiskey from Niche Drinks Co., bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It matured in ex-bourbon casks and was warehoused in Londonderry. It is chill-filtered and has added colour. The brand is named after the founder's father, a bartender in and around Belfast for over 50 years. This eight year old won a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2016. The nose offers citrus, fruity sweetness, pot still spice, bitter almond and peach. On the palate come citrus, peach, pot still character, malt and a little wood, and the finish is long and spicy.
