Koshi-No is a blended Japanese whisky from The Shinobu, made in Niigata and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Master blender Mr. Usami selects whiskies from different distilleries, holds them in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, then finishes them in Japanese Mizunara oak. The blend is half malt and half grain, and the colour is natural.
The nose brings butter, coconut candy, mint, grass and wood. The palate is smooth and a little oily, with a hint of Chinese incense, butter and vanilla. The finish carries sandalwood and vanilla.
