The Speysiders 2009 10 Year Old Murray McDavid The Vatting Batch 2

This is Batch 2 of The Speysiders, a 10 year old vatting from Murray McDavid's The Vatting series. It combines whisky from four Speyside distilleries: Craigellachie, Miltonduff, Linkwood and Glenlossie. It was distilled in 2009 and matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks. The outturn is 1553 bottles. The nose brings fruity notes and nut chocolate, with rose water and spice. The palate shows dried apricots, pancakes and chocolate raisins. Raisin fudge returns on the finish, along with mixed nuts and a touch of latte.
