The Tottori Blended Japanese Whisky (75cl, 43%)

The Tottori is a Japanese blend of malt and grain whisky made by Matsui Whisky in Tottori. The malt is double distilled in copper pots at Matsui's Kurayoshi Distillery, while the grain whiskies come from undisclosed distilleries in Japan. It is aged for up to 5 years in ex-bourbon barrels and reduced with soft groundwater from Mount Daisen. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The nose is delicate malted grain sweetness with red apple and cacao. The oily palate is robust and fruity, with cherry, strawberry jam and more apple. Peach pit and pineapple fibre lead into a finish with a lingering hint of black pepper and oak.
